Eight aspiring entrepreneurs have presented their business proposals before a panel of judges as part of the 2026 Business Plan Innovation Award (BPIA) organized by the Dominica Youth Business Trust, showcasing their ideas and vying for top honours in the competition. The participants demonstrated their entrepreneurial ambitions through presentations designed to highlight the potential of their respective business ventures, with the judging process setting the stage for a closely contested competition.

The eight participants are Jerwin Lavile, Jarah Jno Baptiste, Romello Rodney, Lisa Ernest, Leonnie Gorden, Martel Daniel, Nyla Baptiste and Ellyon Bellot. Their presentations brought together a range of business concepts, reflecting the creativity, enthusiasm and determination of individuals seeking to develop their entrepreneurial potential.

The DYBT have indicated that the winners of the 2026 Business Plan Innovation Award will be announced during Global Entrepreneurship Week in November. The upcoming announcement will reveal which participants secure the top prizes, marking the culmination of the competition and recognising the entrepreneurs whose business plans stand out to the judging panel.
