Grammy Award-winning artist Mýa will headline the inaugural Summer Splash music festival, which takes place at Public Beach Friday, 14 Aug.

Billed at Cayman Islands’ “premier end-of-summer music festival”, the event promises a lineup of hot recording artists.

The American R&B and pop singer, songwriter, dancer and actress rose to fame in 1998 with her self-titled debut album as well as hits including 90s and 2000s singles “It’s All About Me,” “Ghetto Supastar,” and “Take Me There”. Mýa is best known for her Grammy Award-winning 2001 cover of “Lady Marmalade” alongside Christina Aguilera, Pink and Lil’ Kim.

Making their Cayman Islands debuts are Jamaican reggae and dancehall artist Serani, and Trinidad production and performance duo Full Blown. Emceeing the event will be Island 98.9 FM radio morning show host Xosia McGregor.

The festival, which starts at 7pm, will also feature bars and a food village. General admission tickets start at $49, while VIP tickets cost from $159.
