A 47-year-old man has been charged with murder after he was first charged with wounding.
It is alleged that Drayson Watson stabbed Kenneth Christian, 78, outside the Turtle Centre in West Bay.
Christian died three days after the alleged incident on May 20 and Watson, an employee at the Turtle Centre, appeared in court on May 25.
There was no cause of death as a post mortem had still to be carried out, so Watson faced the original charges of wounding with intent and possession of prohibited weapons.
It is alleged the incident happened after Watson, who was in charge of turtle meat quotas for customers, and Christian, also known as Kenneth Edroy Barnes, became involved in an argument over allocations.
Watson appeared in Summary Court on Wednesday and was released on bail pending another appearance on 16 Oct.
