Friend to all, enemy to none.
A daily mantra, a promise not undone.
But make no mistake, we remember the seed.
You planted in Namibia when we needed it.
You stood by our side when our freedom was far,
You helped us rise; you showed us who we are.
You watered the soil with courage and sacrifice,
so the Land of the Brave could rise and suffice.
Today, our friend, we see your plight,
and we refuse to leave you alone in this fight.
For what is a friend if they turn away,
when yesterday’s ally needs them today?
From Cuba to Namibia, let the message be clear:
We have not forgotten, our friend; we are here.
And wherever you need us, our doors shall be wide,
for the friend who stood with us will find us beside.
Friend to all, enemy to none,
but solidarity is not silence when injustice is done.
We see the enemy; we know the game,
but they will not win, and they will not break your name.
You helped us fight for the freedom we own;
Now we’ll stand for yours; you shall not stand alone.
Friend to all, enemy to none,
our struggle is shared; our bond is one.
From the seeds you planted to the freedom we’ve grown,
We remember our friend; you will never stand alone.
I am Lady Z.
