Seven years after releasing her gospel song ‘All We Need’, Namibian award-winning gospel singer and vocal coach Maranatha Goroh is giving it new life with a live-recorded music video featuring South African gospel star Ntokozo Mbambo.
The music video, filmed in Windhoek, will be released today on YouTube and other music platforms, offering a new expression of a song whose message remains central to Maranatha’s faith.
Originally released in 2019, All We Need appears on Goroh’s second album, Intimate Love. South African music director and producer Nqobeko produced the song.
The song brings together two gospel singers from neighbouring countries through a message of faith, surrender and dependence on God.
In an interview with Goroh this week, she said revisiting the song in a live recording is a chance to share its message with a wider audience. “All We Need is a worship song that carries a very simple but powerful message: Jesus is all we need,” she said.
“No matter what we face in life, nothing compares to having Him.”
Bringing the collaboration home
The artists recorded and filmed the song’s live session in July 2023, featuring a live audience and band and giving the production a Namibian setting.
Mbambo is a well-known South African gospel star who joined the group Joyous Celebration at 15 and has since built a successful gospel music career.
The new live recording offers audiences another opportunity to experience their musical partnership.
She described working with Mbambo as a special moment.
“Sharing this song with Ntokozo Mbambo, a powerhouse with such a rare grace and gift, was truly meaningful,” she said. According to her, she believes music can bring people together, no matter where they come from.
“We may come from different countries, but we share the same heart for worship and the same desire to point people to Jesus and connect them through a word of Jesus,” said the artist.
During the live recording, Mbambo spoke a word over Maranatha Goroh, declaring that “The nations would hear her voice and that her ministry would help people grow deeper in their relationship with God.” She also expressed how excited she was to be in Namibia and wished Maranatha all the best with her new project.
Beyond their collaboration, Maranatha says the song ‘All We Need’ carries a message she hopes will encourage people to face life’s difficulties.
“My prayer is that this song reminds people that, even when life feels uncertain, Jesus remains enough,” she said.
The new recording of the song gives a fresh expression while preserving the message that inspired its original release some seven years ago, according to the singer, hoping it will reach more audiences in Namibia, South Africa and beyond, while touching people who need encouragement and drawing them closer to God.
More music on the way
Goroh shared that she has also been working on new music after recently travelling to South Africa to develop a project with a producer whose work includes live productions for prominent gospel artists.
She was also invited to perform at the recent JBL Conference 2026 in Durban, South Africa, which featured various international gospel artists. Alongside her music career, she continues to offer vocal coaching and support other singers’ development.
Although details of a possible larger music project have not yet been confirmed, Maranatha says more music is coming.
The music video will be made available on Maranatha Goroh’s official YouTube channel and other music platforms from Friday. -zonkela467@gmail.com
